Fun sophistication lends an exciting vibe to Spring fashion. Fresh looks from the Fashion Week runways offer romance with a fun twist of vivid pastels.
Zang Toi’s collection was inspired by the charm of the French Riviera. Elegance merged with a modern tailored look. From ball gowns to tailored, tuxedo-cut suits, the collection showcased canary yellows, lavenders and soft pinks with the classic chic of black and white colors.
Carlos Miele showed off his animal side with cheetah, leopard and zebra prints. Form-fitted and flowing maxi-length dresses paired with beaded belts and shoes; jeweled necklines contrasted beautifully with leather and chiffon details. Carolina Herrera also featured fluid chiffons, organza and tulle along with her signature column gowns.
Custo Barcelona’s X-Ray collection showcased architectural lines and lighter textiles. While Custo Barcelona’s X-Ray’s graphics were inspired by the ocean, Chado Ralph Rucci embraced bold, vivid pinks, bright yellows, acid greens and saturated oranges.
Greens were the focus of Nanette Lepore’s work, complimented by prints in black and white. Peachy corals also made their way down the runway in off-the-shoulder dresses, flowery, flowing skirts.
Vera Wang was inspired by India using colors like gold, green, purple and turquoise to the Nehru collar and Choli jacket.
