​HUNTINGTON, NEW YORK – November 14, 2014 – The curtain rises for the new Command Performance beauty collection for Fall/Winter 2014, only from Spa Adriana, the award-winning Aveda lifestyle salon and spa. With rich reds and browns, golden blonds and sophisticated styling, Command Performance is a modest, vintage attitude fused with today’s high-fashion feel.

“We played with looks from old-fashioned stage sets and gave them a modern, vibrant twist,” said Adriana Vater, creative director, Spa Adriana and co-founder. “We found inspiration from the couture runway styles we see during Fashion Week, a confident brilliance carried with grace.”

Think 1950s with a modern vibe: elegant updos are in, set high at the crown and brushed smooth. Voluminous French twists flow into gentle, scooping bangs, bringing eyes center-stage frames with playful curls for a sense of movement. These roller-set styles are classics let loose with a bit of fun. Hair is lustrous, healthy, and smooth.

Hair color is soft and rich. Auburn reds are infused with cinnamon highlights. Deep espresso browns show off dimension with mocha highlights, and sheer blondes surprise with subtle tinges of warm, light gold. Aveda full spectrum hair color, with irresistible shades and long-lasting shine, is always on cue.
Makeup from Command Performance is vintage chic. Copper hues on eyes and cheeks, with black liquid liner on the lash line create a dramatic look. Gogi Berry red makes lips pop.

Aveda's Botanical Kinetics Hydrating Lotion creates a flawless, stage-ready complexion, used with tinted moisturizer and translucent powder. Makeup was a combination of seafoams, aquamarines and Peony blush eye shadows from Aveda’s Culture Clash collection. Sculpted brows set off natural eye palettes heightened the drama, softened by soft pinks on lips.

Command Performance was featured in the Fall 2014 editions of Village Connection and LIVE Magazine. The photo shoot was taken at Huntington’s historic Paramount Theatre, the perfect backdrop for Spa Adriana’s collection.
